1976 Triumph Stag For Sale £10,750
This fantastic Stag is in truly superb condition and remains
extremely original.
Pimento Red with hard and soft tops, it's done 80,000 miles.
With it's manual gearbox and being a Mk11, it's the most sought
after of the Stags and a superb Classic for comfort, style, and
practicality

I have owned this car for about 7 years now and before me has had 7
other owners. When I bought it, it was the culmination of a 2-year
search for a very solid, original, un-tampered example of a manual
overdrive model with both hard and soft tops in original and good
condition. I failed with the hood as I think this was the original
item and was rather moth-eaten, but in all other respects I was very
lucky. The interior is all original and completely unmarked.
Whilst the car was very good to start with, I have worked to improve
it during my ownership to become an exceptional example.

Triumph Stag History
- Complete with all original components (engine gearbox etc)
- Known through all owners (with written proof and copies of
all old log books)
- Has old sales adverts from when it has been sold in the past
- A large file of bills and receipts for work carried out
throughout its life
- Had a complete engine strip down and overhaul in 2002
(approx 20,000 miles ago) and conversion for unleaded by Stag
specialist Andrew Puddifer of Newport in South Wales

During my ownership this Stag has needed very little but
received a great deal of attention
- Fully serviced and documented twice a year (including all
recommended work, coolant flushing, waxoyling etc).
- Small areas where rust had begun on the bodywork stripped;
removed and replaced with fresh metal (photo’s available on
request this has only ever been present on the wheel arches so
both front wings on the car are new (from original Unipart stock
– I managed to find a pair of wings that came from an ex BL
dealer complete with the old Unipart stickers on them).
- Full re-spray by a master craftsman (originally trained in
bodywork by Triumph and gained Master status while at Ford, now
retired working on projects, cars of interest as well as friends
and family) Barry Filer of Nailsea in Somerset.
- Wheels refurbished in late 2004
- Hood restored in 2005 – I had to buy new material, but the
original frame was restored and used
- The Brakes were completely overhauled and restored to as new
condition as a precaution in 2005 by Stag Specialist Wes Keeley
of Kent
- Wes Keeley has also resealed, refreshed and detailed the
under body (condition before work can be seen below)
- Wes Keeley also refreshed and detailed the Engine bay.
Put simply, this is a beautiful car. Stags are beginning to gain
the recognition they deserve and the next owner of this car will
have years and years of reliable, stylish classic enjoyment.
